Under Construction

We are updating our website.

Some pages are empty. We are working to update them as fast as we can.

Before You Buy It

Fish and Feather have been looking after the interests of our customers and their pets for 24 years now. We have noticed a massive increase in incorrect information being given about the needs and requirements of keeping certain pets especially over the last 12 to 24 months.
Since animals, birds and reptiles have become more of an online commodity rather than being sourced from ethical breeders and stores (stores that do know what they are talking about) our customers are having horrific trouble. Some of the information out there is just ...BS... and in no way helps the pet or the owner.
For the sake of saving a buck, the shortcuts into their care are horrendous.

If you can't afford to look after it properly it, don't buy it.

If you are not prepared to provide the animal with EVERYTHING that it needs, do not buy it.
And please stop bringing home reptiles and amphibians that you find in the wild under the guise of RESCUE. You are not saving it!!! More likely killing it!

Please call.. come in... or email us. We don't care if your animal came from us or the internet. If you are unsure, you need to get the right advice, for the sake of the pet.

We are going to start a weekly blog outlining some of the horrific cases that we have dealt with over the past couple of years. Maybe this will raise some much needed awareness into the correct care and needs of animals.
This blog will be blunt!!! The things we would like to say, but in some circumstances cannot. People need to wake up.

The worst areas seem to be reptiles, fish, birds and small animals.
We are here to help. Our staff are very experienced and if we can't give you the answer we CAN AND WILL refer you to the person who can...
For the sake of your pet, if you don't know, if it doesn't seem well, please ask!!!!
